The 2019 Village of Bridgeview Treasure Days will be held on the weekend of September 7th & 8th for the areas south of 79th Street and September 14th & 15th for the areas north of 79th Street.

This year, Allied Waste was selected to provide waste hauling services for the next five years. By shopping around for the best service and price, we were able to hold the line on large price increases and avoid an increase of more 10 percent in waste-haulin​

The Park District is sponsoring a Winter Wii Bowling League for seniors 55 and older at 10 a.m. on Fridays starting on Dec. 7.

Kids from 6-9 years old will celebrate Thanksgiving by making Pilgrim and Indian headgear and noodle Indian necklaces at the Pilgrim Party from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Park District.

The Library will offer a free all-day scrapbooking event on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There also will be a free class to learn the rudiments of this hobby from 10:30 a.m. to noon.​

The Library will be showing a free movie every Monday in November at 1 p.m.

The Library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Rex Newell, an antiques expert, will be giving free appraisals at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Bridgeview Public Library, 7840 W. 79th St.

The U.S. Olympic women’s soccer team, which captured the Gold Medal at the London Games, is coming to Toyota Park in Bridgeview.
